Beauty Tip

These holiday indulgences can be good for your skin.
1: Chocolate Choose dark over milk for its antioxidants.
2: Red wine Yes, too much alcohol can be dehydrating, but cabernet, merlot, pinot noir all contain resveratrol, a potent antioxidant that’s making the news for the positive effects it may have on health.
3: Oysters These tasty shellfish are low-fat, cholesterol-free, and contain more zinc per serving than any other food. Zinc helps maintain skin’s integrity.
Of course, everything in moderation!

Happy New Year!
Ring in 2012 with a traditional pork tenderloin dinner. Try our full-flavored recipe.

PLUS You’ll be the most effervescent party guest on New Year’s Eve with this trivia about sparkling wine.

1. How many bubbles in a 750ml bottle? About 44 million.
2. Bottoms up: American sparkling wine consumption was up 10% in 2010, the same year that the United States surpassed France as the world’s largest wine-consuming nation.
3. Bubbly is one wine that should not be allowed to breathe. This is why we now use flute-shaped glasses. When exposed to too much air, the sparkling wine “hyperventilates” and quickly loses its bubbles.
