Some reviewers have complained that this makes their hair feel/look "dirty", but I find that a little bit helps texturize my sometimes too smooth Asian hair. And a bigger dose really helps an up-do have something to grab and stay up with.

I had tried two samples of Nuance Hair Wax, and was delighted with this product's performance and scent. When full sized stock was finally available again, I ordered a jar, and was very disappointed. The consistency was much lighter than the heavier feel of the sample, the scent was totally different (nearly offensive to me), and it did not make my hair feel the same as the sample did. There has clearly been an ingredient change. Sooooo disappointing!

This is not sticky like other wax I've used. Love the smell, too. My hair still feels soft after using and product does not leave a sticky, dull build-up.
