I use this product every morning after cleansing. It is very light-weight and non-greasy. Lack of applicator makes wasting somewhat inevitable.

I have tried numerous types of moisterizers for my oily acne prone skin, and this is by far the best! It doesn't make me break out, soaks in instantly, and lasts all day! Plus I have noticed that my face is less oily after I put on my makeup (I usually have to blot my face numerous times through out the day) I barely have to blot at all :)
Husband Loves This Moisturizer

My husband is averse to using anything on his face, except washing it, but I got this light moisturizer for him and now he will not be without it. He uses it morning and night and his skin is not as dry as it was before. He would not use anything that was heavy or greasy because he does tend to break out at his advanced age. I just notice that his skin seems smoother and softer.

So, I learned that my skin is dehydrated NOT dry. There is a huge difference between the two and if you have skin that feels tight and dry but also gets oily and is prone to breakouts, you probably have dehydrated skin. Because of my breakout-prone/tight skin, when I applied a regular moisturizer, my skin gets really oily. I cannot wear a cream or lotion on my face. This serum acts as my moisturizer. The hyaluronic acid acts like a sponge to pull moisture in to your skin. I use it like this (morning and night): Cleanse with Moisture Balance Hydrating & Balancing Cleanser by Physicians Formula, tone with Skinceuticals LHA Solution, moisturize with DHC Water Base Moister. In the morning I will apply Skinceuticals Sheer Physical UV Defense SPF 50 over the Water Base Moister and then use DHC Velvet Skin Coat. In the evenings I sometimes apply Beauty Without Cruelty Vitamin C Vitality Serum with CoQ10 under the Water Base Moisture. And, once or twice a week (usually on the weekend), I will skip the Water Base Moisture and use DHC Renewing AHA Cream. I have to tell you that my skin has completely corrected itself to a more glowing and smooth state and my acne scars are fading, fading, fading. DHC does it again. I highly recommend this product.
Adequate substitute for a discontinued p

I had previously fallen in love with Ceramide Quick, another light moisturizer that was discontinued. At that time, I turned to Water Base Moisture as the only other "splash-on" type of light moisture. For me, creams and even lotions are too heavy, and I really appreciate the long-lasting effects of this product and its ease of use.I would rather have the Ceramide Quick, which was just as effective but even more comfortable to wear. I do thank you for keeping this item available.
Best moisturizer ever!

I love that it absorbs quickly with no greasy feel. It's super-light, but at the same time, my skin stays moisturized all day with never a need to re-moisturize until I wash my face at night. Completely eliminates any tightness that would otherwise be there.

I use Water Base Moisture underneath my eyes to soften wrinkles. I make sure that my skin is moist before I apply it. It absorbs quickly, and lasts longer than any other product I used before.

Can't live without it!

This stuff literally feels like you're splashing your face with fresh water, but it somehow moisturizes! I hate the feeling of oily skin (I'm one of those people who carries oil absorbing sheets), and this is as light as can be. It does seem like it goes quick, so I've learned to let 4-5 drops fall into the palm of my hand and then to spread it with my fingertips and gently rub evenly over my whole face. It seems like a lot to spend on something that feels/looks like water, but there's some magical ingredient in there that I just can't live without.I probably wouldn't recommend this for someone with very dry skin, but I could be wrong.
