A BOTTLE IN EVERY KITCHEN
By LoriD

Comments about DHC Núñez de Prado EVOO Early Harvest:
I wouldn't know what to do without a bottle of both of the Nunez De Prado Olive Oils in my kitchen! Depends on what I'm making as to which I use; definitely a personal choice. The early harvest is our favorite go-to oil when we want a little extra flavor. It's a bit nutty tasting to us. I always toss my pasta in a few tablespoons of this one and I use this one for roasting garlic bulbs, things like that. If I'm basting fish, or something with a more delicate flavor, or mixing up a vinagrette, things where the taste of the oil isn't a factor really, then I use the "regular". Actually, that's how we got hooked on these oils to begin with. Didn't know which we'd like better, so I got a bottle of each and found that both oils have their places in my cooking. Give them both a try, particularly if you're new(ish) to choosing olive oil! Love both so much...I hope DHC never stops carrying it!

Delicious, strong, flavorful olive oil. If you are used to super-market olive oil, you'll find it very assertive, in a good way. It's not cheap, so I save it for dishes where I want it to stand out -- salad, gazpacho, drizzling over soft cheese, dipping bread, with a little garlic on pasta.

The best tasting olive oil I have ever used. So good I am buying it for gifts for all my sisters and foodie friends.
Delicious

This is the best tasting olive oil ever. Because it is so pricey, I don't use it to cook with. I use it by itself as a salad dressing, and with it's unique flavor, it adds to the taste of the vegetables, and even the meat, eggs or cheese when I throw it a bit of protein.
A Favorite
A favorite olive oil. Seems expensive if you're used to supermarket brands, but the flavor is well worth it. Save it for salads and dipping.
Great Olive Oil for Savory Dishes/Alone
By Robert

I first tried the Early Harvest version of this olive oil as a free sample from DHC, when I ordered the regular version. I was very impressed. It is different, but in a subtle way that makes it even better for dishes that benefit from an EVOO even more flavor than the regular bottling. It is great for salads, savory dishes and for dipping bread.

I love to dip good bread in this oil with a little sea salt and ground pepper. Makes a great appetizer with a glass of wine before dinner.
