Comments about DHC Acerola Extract:
I've been using the product each night for two weeks. Because it is a liquid, a lot of it ends up on my hands and gets wasted. When I apply it to my skin, it sits on my skin and takes longer to absorbe than a moiturizer would. I have used Acerola Gel before and was very happy with that product, so I thought I would try the concentrated version. THere are no results that I see and I took a picture before trying it so that I could compare. I wish I hadn't spent the money and should have stuck with the gel version.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Lightened - diminished brown spots
By Miss Lynn
from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
I have been using this product faithfully twice a day. It has erased the red capillaries on my chin, diminished the sun spots, and brightened my skin considerably. I really notice the difference. I am purchasing a new supply!
Evens skin tone
from northern Nevada
Although my skin is dry, my face gets shiny very fast in hot weather. After reading about the benefits of products with vitamin C in the DHC catalog, I thought they might be good for summer use. I am quite pleased. I use the Acerola lotion, essence and gel moisturizer and my skin keeps its fresh matte finish much longer than normal. I think the essence especially is helping to even out and brighten my skin tone - important for older skin with scars and minor sun damage.

I use this before bed and it brings a very subtle glow to my face.
Not my favorite DHC product
At 55 with overall good skin, I wanted to try and minimize some small areas of sun damage. I am a fan of many other DHC formulations, but I'm just not crazy about the Acerola line. This serum feels sticky and uncomfortable on my face, and makes my sensitive skin break out. The cream feels OK, but I don't care for the smell. Can't use what I bought and will not be repurchasing these products.
Take that sun spots!
By Liz the Seattlite
from New York, NY
I moved to New York from Seattle and instantly acquired 30 years of back logged sun-spots. The acerola product line has been routine for many years, helping combat oiliness and uneven skin, but this time I had visible proof! Two months later I am spot free and remember to use sunscreen on a more regular basis.
Wonderful product. First tried it in a sample and loved how my skin felt. At first feels tacky but softens in a minute or two.
Difficut to dispense
from Vermilion, OH
I pair this with the acerola cream at night after washing my face. It's hard to dispense, and I feel I waste more the product by it running through my fingers than getting it on my face and neck. I do see an improvement in softness and even tone. It doesn't help my fine lines or pore size.
from Miami, FL
I found this extract to be a total waste of money. It was oily and made me break out. It's not for oily or combination skin at all. The extract was also difficult to apply. I put it on my face because when I put it on my hands it went through my fingers . I had to stop because between the extract and the cream, I would wake up with an oily face and with continued use, acne. I gave it to my mom who has dry skin.
