Pore Minimizing Set

Comments about DHC Pore Minimizing Set:
I use this product as part of my AM and PM cleansing routine. The response of my skin has been dramatic. My pores are much smaller and the overall look of my skin is calmer. I think the product is fantastic.

I began using the DHC Pore Minimizing set because soap and water was not removing all of the makeup which would then cause my skin to break out. Now my skin is left clean and well moisturized. I only wish I had discovered this product sooner! My skin is sensitive so I could never use harsh abrasive cleansers -- but the Pore Minimizing products suit me perfectly!
I will buy this product again!

I've always had issues with my pores since junior high. I would try witch hazel, Garnier and Neutrogena products, and any salicylic acid products; I would be left with skin so dry that it would peel, and after not using the products I would be back to Square 1. Before this set, I was using different combos of White soap, mild soap, mild lotion, balancing lotion, etc. They were much better than what I had used but not everything that I wanted to deep clean and shrink my pores. Even using just the Pore minimizing lotion and milk were a huge change in how my skin looked and felt. I also saw anti-aging effects that were as good as some of the overnight creams I was using. This is my beauty routine from now on, and no need to switch back and forth!

Hit & Miss

I bought this set for two reasons: 1) It costs less than buying the products separately, and 2) another reviewer said that it helped with their acne. Let me start by saying that my skin is extremely oily, prone to hormonal cystic acne and sensitive on top of everything else. The only part of my face that has noticeable large pores is on my nose, but I didn't purchase this set primarily for the pore reducing properties it claims, I did it because of hoping that it will help keep my acne under control. I have been using this set faithfully for a month now. I still get an occasional whitehead every now and then, but they are small and clear up quickly. I have not had another painful cystic acne break-out since I started using this set. On the other hand, even though the rest of my face does look smoother and feels softer, I have seen little improvement in the size of the pores in my worst zone (my nose). After using this product for a month I can say that the overall appearance of my face is softer and smoother and more evenly toned (reduction in dark spots/post acne marks), so much so that I no longer bother with a tinted moisturizer, let alone foundation. Pore Cleansing Oil: Other than the fantastic citrusy smell that this make-up removing oil cleanser has, it works just the same as the regular Deep Cleansing Oil. I saw no difference in the size of my pores using this, so I would stick with the regular cleansing oil for its purely make-up removing properties because it is cheaper. Either one you choose to get, this product has been the BEST make-up remover I have ever used. Even though I have excessively oily skin and am prone to break-outs, this oil cleanser does NOT leave my skin feeling greasy or causes me to break out.Pore Face Wash: My favorite product in this entire set. Invigorating citrusy scent, the smallest dab (smaller than the size of a pea) makes a thick & rich lather that is more than enough to thoroughly wash your entire face (and neck and chest if you are in the shower). It is also the ONLY item in this entire product line that you can see an immediate and significant improvement in the size of your pores (on my nose anyway). What stinks is that as soon as I put on another product in the set, it immediately makes my pores look like they did already-big on my nose. Worth the price because it works and will last a VERY long time. Pore Toner: Has the same refreshing citrusy scent as the entire line. I only use this once a day, in the evening after using the cleansing oil to remove my make-up and using the face wash, to get the last traces of any lingering make-up off. Another reviewer or two complained that this toner was 'sticky' and left a residue…I wonder how much of this product they were dolloping on? I splurge and get the silk wrapped cotton squares from DHC (worth the price as I only use one cotton square per day when I tone only), so I don't know if they make the difference or not. I found this toner to be both refreshing and moisturizing and NOT sticky at all or leaving a residue on my skin. My experience with other toners (or 'lotions' as DHC likes to call them) is that they are stinging, drying, burn my skin, and make my face feel tight, tingly/burning and shiny, and makes my pores spew out even more sebum. As far as pore refining…I saw no significant improvement in the pores of my nose, but the rest of my face does look smoother, softer, and without any visible pores.Pore Milk: The most disappointing item in this set. It is super expensive (in my opinion) for such a teeny-tiny bottle of moisturizer. I only use 1 pump usually, 2 pumps is more than enough to moisturize your entire face, neck and chest. Has the same refreshing citrusy scent, but I have found within 5-15 mins after using this moisturizer my skin feels tight and dry, and my pores (especially on my nose) are oozing sebum. NOT the good stuff. I always have to follow up with my regular moisturizer (not a DHC brand) right after I use this moisturizer to prevent this from happening. Oh, and did I mention that it actually makes my pores look even bigger on my nose when I apply it?Bottom line: Pore Wash=Totally Worth ItPore Oil Cleanser=Splurge for the refreshing scent, otherwise stick with regular oil cleanserPore Lotion=Worth a try to see how it works for youPore Milk=Skip It, totally not worth itP.S. Don't waste your money on Pore Essence either, see that product for my review.

Happy with the product. A little pricey, but I am OK with the return on investment.

I would not recommend this product to anyone that has acne prone or oily skin. It made me break out. Once I stopped using it, my skin was clear again. I was so disappointed since the set was very expensive.
Hope this works!
