Top Three Goals Right Now
1. I am currently working on a Paramedic-to- R.N.
step program, so my first goal is to finish nursing
school and obtain my R.N. licensure.
2. To continue to grow with my husband and build our
life together.
3. To become more fully at peace with who I am and
what I am doing in this life.
Hobbies
Running, water sports, yoga, Pilates ... I love to
be active. Soon I also hope to find the time to read
something other than nursing texts again.
Biggest Skincare Concern
I spent my 20s traveling around the world, working
first on oceanographic research ships, then on the
deck of icebreakers in the Antarctic. My work took
me from hot, humid tropics to arid, windy polar regions
and back again. My skin was in a continuous state
of confusion. Despite near-religious sunscreen application,
my face was always ruddy and unevenly toned—
a constant struggle. |

Then five years ago, I moved to Denver
and became a firefighter/paramedic. From that point,
my skin had to deal not only with the challenges of
sudden and intense stressful episodes, but also with
inconsistent sleep patterns and the ever-present nutritional
challenges of firehouse eating. Needless to say, uneven
skin tone, with a tendency to ruddiness when irritated,
and the occasional stress-induced blemish are my biggest
concerns.
Favorite DHC Products
I think the product with which I am most impressed
is DHC itself. How great it is to see a company so
confident in its products that it makes the investment
of so freely offering samples. Every catalog contains
at least one sample and every order as many as four
customer-selected samples. Who else does that? Furthermore,
DHC not only actively solicits comments and suggestions
from customers, but it also goes to great lengths
to reward customers with loyalty and volume discounts.
All this in support of a fabulous line of products
(natural, effective, and affordable) that I’d
buy even without all these “perks.” My
favorite product is Velvet Skin Coat—it glides
on so smoothly and gives my skin a velvety feel. Deep
Cleansing Oil is the absolute best makeup, dirt, and
grime remover I’ve ever used, and it does it
so gently—no stripping or harshness.
| Water Base Face Color in Beige
matches my skin perfectly, and I love the way
its lightweight coverage evens out my skin.
Last but not least, Olive Virgin Oil can’t
go without mention— it makes my parched
Colorado skin look dewy and soft—a miracle
in a bottle!
Biggest Inspiration
My husband, Todd. He’s someone I feel
I’ve always known. I really admire his
balance of confidence and humility, his ability
to dream, and his drive to fulfill those dreams.
He inspires me to see potential and to strive
for it while, at the same time, giving me the
greatest sense of comfort. |
