OCCUPATION
I am currently an instructional supervisor for a school
district after having spent many years teaching high school
English.
INTERESTS AND HOBBIES
Reading, flower gardening, cooking, shopping, eating out
with friends, and tai chi.
FAVORITE PLACE
The dock of my fishpond in the backyard. When my husband
and I are sitting there together,
I feel completely safe and at peace with the world.
HOW I STAY CREATIVE
I make my own candles and greeting cards.
I also love to grow and arrange flowers.
I MOST ADMIRE
All the strong women (and men) who came before me who visualized
a world of equal rights and opportunities for women. We're
not there yet, but their sacrifices made the world today
possible.
I FEEL PASSIONATE ABOUT...
Protecting children from the adult-made dangers in the world
and advocating that education and knowledge equal power
and options in life.
FAVORITE FOUR-LEGGED FRIENDS
There is no love more simple and pure than the love of a
dog. We have three: our bullmastiffs, Roosevelt and Maybelline,
and a mini dachshund named Sylvia. I adore all animals and
dream of someday having a small farm of rescued animals.
HIDDEN TALENT
I have a very strong sense of smell and can generally identify
a perfume at 10 paces.
SOMETHING YOU'D NEVER GUESS ABOUT ME
I am sometimes fearless. We went to an auction to look at
furniture and then I ended up buying our first house! |
