OCCUPATION
I am currently in my residency for a master's degree in
nurse anesthesia. My ultimate goal is to travel on medical
missions and help provide children with life-changing medical
care.
HOW I RECHARGE
Shifts when I'm on 24-hour call take their toll‹uninterrupted
sleep is mandatory! To keep fit, I do power yoga and enjoy
running and hiking. When my schedule is 70 to 80 hours a
week, even little things like taking the stairs and daily
stretch breaks make a big difference in how I feel. When
all else fails, a long hot soak in the tub saves me.
NECESSARY EXTRAVAGANCE
Food! I go to the market frequently for fresh, organic whole
foods. My approach to nutrition is everything in moderation‹
unless it's Alaskan salmon, which I could eat every day.
I also don't deprive myself of anything I enjoy eating;
with such a demanding schedule, food is a simple daily pleasure.
FAVORITE FOUR-LEGGED FRIEND
My miniature dachshund, Milo.
He is a complete ham and a
total people magnet. When I take him for walks, people break out in smiles and make a beeline to pet him. He is unconditional love with four legs and a tail.
DREAM JOB
When I decide to retire, I'd love to open a bed and breakfast
to capitalize on my domestic side. I love to garden, cook,
bake, entertain, and meet new friends. It might be in the
United States or abroad—I'm planning a graduation
trip to New Zealand, so I'll be doing some advance location
scouting.
THREE WORDS THAT DESCRIBE
ME BEST
Clever, intuitive, resilient.
HIDDEN TALENT
I have a surprising ability to mimic people; I think I would
have made a good actor. |
