Can I use the soap I bathe with to wash my infant?

Although all DHC soaps are gentle, when it comes to wee ones, it is strongly recommended that you use only cleansers and conditioners specifically formulated for baby's tender skin. Our DHC Baby Care Set features not only mild DHC Baby Soap and DHC Baby Hair Shampoo, but also the equally protective Natural Baby Oil and Baby Ceramide. I've recently welcomed my first child into the world. Could you tell me about your Baby line?

The oh-so-soft perfection of a baby's skin may seem very delicate, but it's actually quite strong and resilient. Babies' skincare needs are very basic and should never include any potentially irritating added fragrances or colorants. Babies don't sweat as much as adults and may not need to be bathed every day. When you do bathe them, DHC Baby Soap offers just the right amount of soothing botanicals in a fine, gentle lather. In between baths and for changing diapers try our Body Cleansing Sheets—alcohol-free and laden with natural skin-calming ingredients like aloe and cucumber, these 100% cotton sheets cleanse gently but thoroughly. Babies don't produce as much natural skin oil as adults and may at times need a little extra moisture. Unlike mineral-based oils, DHC Natural Baby Oil is mainly olive oil with added botanicals, such as licorice extract, to keep uncomfortable diaper rash at bay. It's also perfect for baby massage. Redness and flaking are signs of excessive dryness and for this we recommend Baby Ceramide—it soothes surface itchiness and helps to hold protective moisture deep within the skin. Rounding out the Baby Care Set we offer our tear-free Baby Shampoo, formulated to gently cleanse baby's scalp and leave hair shiny and healthy.
