If my foundation has an SPF rating, do I still need to wear sunscreen?

Absolutely. Wearing sunscreen is the most important thing you can do to help protect your skin from premature aging, discoloration, and skin cancer. Although it's definitely an added bonus that DHC Q10 Cream Foundation features an SPF of 18 and DHC Q10 Liquid Foundation has an SPF of 15, you do want to make sure you're fully protected by first applying a sunscreen with an SPF of 25 or higher. Try new DHC Suncut Q10 30+. It's so lightweight and transparent that it makes a great base under makeup. And don't forget your ears, neck, chest, and other areas foundation doesn't cover.

Help! Since I've entered my 30s, dark spots have started appearing on my face—especially in the summer.

Discoloration can be caused by aging, sun damage, and hormones. Summertime, which increases our exposure to UV rays, can make us particularly vulnerable to uneven skin tone. Try adding DHC Vitamin C Essence as a booster to your regular routine. Apply this super-charged vitamin C treatment after cleansing and toning to help you attain a brighter, more luminous complexion and improved skin tone. And to prevent further discoloration, always be sure to end your skincare routine with the DHC sunscreen of your choice. We've got two new weightless-feeling options for you to discover: DHC Suncut Q10 30+ and DHC Suncut Q10 30+ Light Lamé.

I know it's important to use sunscreen year-round, but during the winter my skin needs more moisture. Can I use White Sunscreen with another moisturizer?

Absolutely! Just let your moisturizer absorb for a few seconds before finishing with DHC White Sunscreen. Choose your moisturizer based on your skin type, your texture preference (for example, milky or thick), and how dry you get during the winter. If you have oilier skin, you don't necessarily need to stick with oil-free moisturizers. Think about trying a moisturizer that has a milky consistency, like DHC Emollient Balm. If you have drier skin, using an intensive moisturizer is the better choice. DHC Olive Virgin Oil is a great option.

Do I need to wear sunscreen in the winter?

Definitely! It's essential to wear sunscreen during the winter months'even when it's not sunny. Ultraviolet rays penetrate through dense clouds, fog, rain, and snow. Also, they reflect off the snow onto your skin. Surprised? Just look at the goggle tan lines on skiers and snowboarders! Damage caused by ultraviolet rays can include hyperpigmentation, burns, and loss of elasticity due to the collapse of precious collagen and elastin fibrils. Be sure to guard your complexion with DHC White Sunscreen or DHC Dual Defense. Both of these broad-spectrum sunscreens have an SPF of 25 and should be applied as often as necessary'don't forget your ears!
