TOP
THREE GOALS AT THE MOMENT
1. To keep a healthy balance between family
and work life.
2. To raise my boys, Drew and Devin, to be men
of character.
3. Right now, I'd like to raise awareness
about macular degeneration (see below).
HOBBIES
Scouring thrift stores in search of bargains
is one of my favorite things to do. I also love
to read, cook and shop with friends. I am somewhat
embarrassed to mention that I love watching
reality TV! It amazes me what people will do.
BIGGEST
INSPIRATION
My biggest inspiration happens to be my 11-year-old
son, Drew. He was diagnosed with Stargardt's
disease two years ago. He has since lost all
of his central vision and is considered legally
blind. He relies on his peripheral vision and
has had to make many changes in his young life.
He has had such a positive attitude through
this ordeal and has refused to let his loss
of vision interfere with things he loves to
do. He gets up each day with the attitude that
he can do anything, and those who know him believe
that he can. I am so privileged that this amazing
child is mine. I truly believe that great things
are in store for him.
"Macular
degeneration (MD) is one of the most common
causes of vision loss in the U.S. in adults
50 and older. However, there are also forms
of it that can affect children. The most common
type of juvenile MD is called Stargardt's disease
and it affects one in 10,000 children between
the ages of 6 and 12. There are great organizations
like the Foundation
Fighting Blindness that contribute to research
studies for possible cures for various types
of MD. This is an important cause for me as
my oldest son has Stargardt's disease."

OF PERFECT HAPPINESS
Perfect happiness is spending a week at the
beach with my husband, Jeff, and my two boys.
BIGGEST
SKINCARE CONCERN
My biggest concern has always been the dark
circles under my eyes. As I get older, they
seem to be getting darker. It is so hard to
find a product that covers them, stays on, and
looks natural. I don't like wearing heavy
makeup to cover up the dark circles. I prefer
to keep my makeup routine simple and natural
looking.
FAVORITE DHC PRODUCTS
I must say that my all-time favorite product is Deep
Cleansing Oil. I can't wash my face with anything
else now! I never would have thought to try this type
of product. It was the sample sent to me in my first
catalog that hooked me! My routine also includes Balancing
Lotion, Ceramide
Milk, and Concentrated
Eye Cream. In the winter, I use Olive
Virgin Oil at night. I recently began using the
Velvet
Skin Coat. This product give me a smooth, natural
look. I love the fact that with Velvet Skin Coat my
makeup stays on all day, even in the humidity of the
South. I love to order new items because of the samples.
I stick them in my suitcase for a nice treat when
I'm traveling. I've tried many products over the years
but have not found anything close to the quality of
DHC products. I love everything I've tried.
