All DHC skincare, makeup, hair and body care products, including their packaging, are manufactured in Japan. We strive to utilize environmentally-positive product packaging. Many of our jars and bottles utilize plastic. Similar to the familiar triangle emblem that appears on recyclable plastics in the United States, the symbol used for recycle-friendly Japanese products is reminiscent of a peace symbol with two dots anchoring each side. You'll find this on all DHC products that are made from plastics deemed recyclable according to the standards in Japan. With regard to the cardboard used for our packaging, DHC tries to use recycled paper in our product boxes whenever possible, and our shipping boxes consist on average of 12–15% post-consumer recycled material. Our inner filler paper also contains approximately 30–35% post-consumer recycled content, with approximately 15% post-industrial recycled content. If you would like more information regarding environmental issues, we recommend viewing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's website at http://www.epa.gov/.
