Mom to sons ages 9 and 13; customer service/ sales rep for a promotional products company.
GOALS FOR THE FUTURE
As my sons get older and I have more time for my pursuits,
I want to recapture some of my earlier ambitions—my
goal is to write, play, and travel while earning a paycheck.
I'd like to become a freelance contributor to outdoor books
and magazines. In the more personal realm, my goal is to
raise my sons to be independent and fearless while cultivating
those qualities in myself.
INTERESTS
Reading, writing, real food, live music, biking, hiking, snowboarding, rock climbing, paddling, and yoga. I am currently enrolled in salsa classes in an attempt to keep up with my boyfriend on the dance floor!
HOW I STAY HEALTHY
I believe that there is plenty of exercise in everyday life
without making time to "work out." The kids and
I walk or bike to school for many reasons, including not
having to buy gas. Plus my self-powered commute is a great
way to get my blood pumping and enjoy some scenery before
and after work.
I FEEL PASSIONATE ABOUT
Sustainable and organic farming, architecture, and alternative
energy sources. Initial expenditures may be higher, but
in the long run it means a better quality of life for all
inhabitants of the earth.
FAVORITE DHC PRODUCTS
DHC products are amazing. I feel comfortable in my skin
now. I didn't always. I used to wear makeup every day because
I didn't feel "presentable" without it. Now I hardly ever
wear makeup because I don't feel I need to. I've never tried
a DHC product that I didn't like, but my favorite is Deep
Cleansing Oil. It cleans without stripping away moisture
and rinses off amazingly well. I also love Extra Concentrate
collagen treatment. I use it around my eyes and mouth. |
