OCCUPATION
Operations Director for Public Radio Tulsa
INTERESTS AND HOBBIES
Modern art, physical fitness, documentary films, current
events, jazz and rap music, and all things canine.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
I love to get lost in the details that make up an
exciting piece of modern art. I am inspired by the
art of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Robert Motherwell.
I find fashion equally as engrossing, in much the
same wayI consider designers like Alexander McQueen
to be creators of wearable art. And finally, travel
inspires me to reexamine my beliefs. I revel in the
type of getaway that drops me into a culture completely
foreign to anything I have known. I arrive home with
new perspectives on America and a greater understanding
of myself and others.
I FEEL PASSIONATE ABOUT
I have recently discovered Women for Women (womenforwomen.org).
It gives you the opportunity to sponsor women in a
war-torn country, like Rwanda, for example, and help
them get back on their feet.
WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER
YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT?
I have stayed true to myself and created the life
that I dreamed of. I don't have a single regret. I
am the woman I hoped I would become. I did this by
continuously pushing myself to question and explore
the world around me, by being able to find humor in
any situation, and by not living my life based on
popular consensus. |
