OCCUPATION
I work in social services at a nonprofit called Boys Hope Girls Hope (www.boyshopegirlshope.org).
My job is a joy. I propagate the importance of education as a means of breaking
the cycle of poverty. My faith gives me the daily strength to work with children
and familes who have so little.

SOMETHING YOU’D NEVER GUESS ABOUT ME
I am Truman Capote’s biggest fan. I am an avid reader and even love to read
the dictionary. Once I was reading the dictionary in public, and a stranger came
up and asked me, "Isn’t your dictionary an awfully dry read?"
FAVORITE PLACE
Anywhere I can pitch a tent, lay down a sleeping bag, and view the stars. Nature
brings me deep peace and joy. Something as simple as the changing of the seasons
is such a treat to my senses.

IMPORTANT CAUSE
I wish for a world where poverty and violence are eradicated. Save Darfur (www.safedarfur.org) is a coalition that unites prople of all ages, races,
religions, and political affiliations to help the people of Darfur, Sudan.
HIDDEN TALENT
I love to interpret dreams.
I CAN’T SAY NO TO…
Chocolate. Even though I am a vegetarian, I have a huge sweet tooth. My mom once
told me that I am not a vegetarian so much as a "junkatarian"!

WHERE I SEE MYSELF IN 10 YEARS
I would like to start my own tutoring and mentoring program for at–risk youth.
After–school programs help kids stay in school and divert them from crime,
which helps strengthen their self‐esteem, giving them the freedom to make the
right choices.
