OCCUPATION
I'm working toward my B.A. in clinical laboratory science. We analyze biological samples that physicians need for diagnosis. My dream job upon graduation would be working either in forensics or at a veterinary job.

Throughout the years, I have been a silver jewelry maker, a bluegrass musician, and a shiatsu massage practitioner.

I'M PASSIONATE ABOUT
Animals! I grew up on a ranch in California and have found that they're essential to my well-being. When life gets crazy, animals bring me back to Earth. Our family includes: Ernie the Amazon parrot, Za the green iguana, Pepper our guinea pig, and our hermit crabs, Coconut, Flash, and Sparkle.

As a scientist, I respect the synergistic quality of your formulas that allows me to layer them without adverse reactions. As a nature lover, I appreciate the ways DHC manages to integrate the bounty of the earth in its products. And as a financially strapped student, I appreciate the affordable cost and loyalty and volume discounts. I use Washing Powder paired with Washing Puff. It's just the right amount of exfoliation for my sensitive skin. My toner is Soothing Lotion. It preps my skin for my moisturizer, Q10 Milk.

I use Renewing AHA Cream when I need extra exfoliation in the winter and want to get rid of flakiness. Extra Concentrate is my secret weapon against fine lines. It absolutely keeps the expression lines at bay! I think of it as an eraser for time's little mistakes.

HOW I STAY HEALTHY
I hate to exercise, so I try to work physical activity into my daily routine. And ever since my husband's bypass surgery two years ago, I cook mostly vegetarian and low-fat food for my family.

FAVORITE FICTIONAL HERO
Dr. Kay Scarpetta, from Patricia Cornwell's crime novels. She is a forensic pathologist at the top of her field, but she also suffers from migraines and anxiety—just like a real woman.

FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WORLD
Hawaii. I can only describe the air there as "soft," and all the flowers smell as good as they look. The sunsets are surreal and the pace of life is slow and relaxed. A complete feast for the senses!
