There's regular sunscreen and then there's Brightening Sunscreen. Uniquely formulated to go beyond just helping to protect your skin from the sun. It has added vitamin C, alpha-arbutin and olive derived nutrients to provide hydration, an antioxidant boost and help your skin-look brighter.

While we love a day of fun in the sun too, research shows it is the number one cause of premature aging. So it's important to protect your skin at all times - even on a cloudy day. Developed with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, these 100% mineral-based skin-protectors offer broad spectrum SPF 30 to help block both UVA rays that are linked to causing fine lines and wrinkes and UVB rays that can cause skin-damaging sunburns.

Use daily along with other sun protection measures to help protect your skin from damaging sunburns, premature aging and enjoy brighter-looking skin with added vitamin C and alpha-arbutin. Both ingredients are known to help reduce the look of dark spots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from White as a Ghost! Out of all of the DHC products, this is by far their worst formulated product. This product shall leave you looking like a ghost or a native Kabuki dancer, as it does not blend into the skin at all. In fact, it contains “too much” Zinc Oxide in it. Years past, DHC offered an olive oil sunscreen lotion and it was superb. I am stumped by the positive reviews. Clearly those individuals do not know an excellent sunscreen when they find one. Avoid this product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wanted to Like This … It’s just too heavy for me. Lots of white. Touted as a primer but too thick to work as one. Plus, I got blemishes by my nostrils. If you just want a good sunscreen, this might work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Protects against sun damage It protects my face without being greasy and shiny. I have replaced my other sunscreens with this sunscreen.

I noticed Talc is one of your ingredients in the Brighten Sunscreen. I've read that talc is bad and could be carcinogenic.

Asked by: Cydney
Hello. Talc is widely used in cosmetics because of its absorption properties, and it is smooth and silky. While the talc used by DHC USA complies with the regulations and guidelines established by US regulatory authorities, DHC USA products are safe when used as intended and the decision to use a product containing specific ingredients is ultimately a personal choice.

Does this make my face white? Is it water based like Nivea?

Asked by: 2008K
Hello. Because sun protection is provided by titanium dioxide and zinc, there's a risk it may leave a modest light cast; however, it's avoidable by thoroughly moisturizing and shaking the bottle before application. We are unable to compare our products to others as we are not properly educated on other brands. You can view a complete ingredient list for Brightening Sunscreen at www.dhccare.com by clicking on the FULL INGREDIENT LIST link located on the product's dedicated page. Thank you for choosing DHC and have a beautiful day.
