Job Title: Retail Account Representative

Summary: DHC is looking for a self-motivated, experienced Account Representative for a rapidly growing Japanese beauty line.  The right candidate will be responsible for fostering the relationships with DHC’s retail partners and is able to establish and work towards short and long-term strategy and sales goals. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build favorable relationships with various levels of account contacts including corporate (e.g. buyer, marketing, PR, planner, etc.), store management and sales staff

  • Regularly meet and communicate with retailers to deliver exemplary support and drive business/sales

  • Strategize, create and execution of sales and marketing plans while tracking and monitoring with assigned marketing budget and return on investment 

  • Notify retailers of product launches, complete all retailer paperwork needed to launch and execute marketing promotions (e.g. GWP, packettes, beauty box programs, etc.)

  • Successfully execute all planned marketing activities and press coverage/social programs
  • Prepare proposals and presentations (e.g. marketing plan, market week presentation, DHC PR/social programs, merchandising and assortment updates, and others)

  • Conduct or facilitate product trainings for brand representatives, store staff, trainers, partner agencies, etc. 

  • Plan and schedule brand participation during in-store events and merchandising updates with buyer and store managers

  • Audit brand events and merchandising for quality of execution

  • Present new launches and marketing programs convincingly

  • Negotiate with retailers for good brand visibility both in stores and online

  • Regularly solicit feedback from retailers, buyers, trainers and brand representatives

  • Identify and act on business opportunities as well as areas for improvement
  • Must be able to work remotely with DHC teams in California, Pennsylvania, Japan. 

  • Work closely with UK warehouse for coordination of shipments (POs, marketing collateral, GWP, packettes, and others)

  • Manage onboarding process of new accounts

  • Strategize and collaborate with manager for new business development opportunities (including presentation creation, assortment review, contract understanding, launch strategy, and more) 

  • Track and analyze sell-in and sell-out reports and ROI

  • Prepare monthly and promotions performance reports 

  • Reinforce positive brand image in all business interactions

  • Other duties as assigned

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Self-motivated, experienced account representative for a rapidly growing Japanese beauty line.  
  • MUST have experience and passion for beauty, along with a professional demeanor and the ability to represent our brand well
  • Ability to do the following in English and (ideally) another European language (e.g. French and/or German): read, write and interpret documents including but not limited to marketing material, business contracts, product labels and training manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
