Can you please tell me what the source is for the "placental protein" used in EGF Cream?

While some of our products contain animal-derived ingredients, it's important to note that these ingredients are obtained without causing any harm to animals. They are natural by-products that would otherwise go to waste in the processing of these sources. The placental protein used in our products is derived from pigs and provides valuable nutrients, amino acids, and proteins that help to nourish and soften the skin. This ingredient is safe to use and offers significant benefits for the skin.

I do not wear make-up at all and I like using DHC products. I would like to get this to help reduce the dark spots on my cheeks and to prevent dry facial skin, is it okay to use it without the liquid lotion?

Hello. Our EGF Cream is chocked full of state-of -the-art ingredients that protect skin from the signs of free radical damage, improve the appearance of fine lines, intensely moisturize and encourage skin's natural cell turnover. Although it's quite possible you'll see improvement over dark spots while using EGF Cream, it's not our most comprehensive product for brightening. We recommend adding our new Age and Sun Spot Gel to your routine, applying directly to areas of concern. It's our opinion that a liquid lotion should be applied before all and any moisturizer(s). Because water makes up 70% of skin's composition, it's imperative to provide soaking hydration that a moisturizer alone cannot. When you apply a liquid lotion before moisturizer, it's much like dampening a sponge. The result is plumper skin, increased dewiness, and the perfect prep for moisturizers to absorb effectively. Could this be used in the eye area? I’d love to find a moisturizer that can tackle eye areas.

Hello! Because the delicate tissue around the immediate eye area differs from the rest of the complexion, we are careful to only recommend eyecare products for the eye area (like Concentrated and CoQ10 Eye Creams). Although EGF Cream is excellent for tackling loss of elasticity and fine lines, its formula was developed for facial use and therefore is not recommend for use around the eyes. Does ETC clog pores

At DHC, we strive to be transparent and realistic regarding product claims, while taking into consideration that skin types, allergies, and tolerance to ingredients differ greatly amongst individuals. "Non-comedogenic" is an industry catch-phrase referring to a product that's free of perceived pore-clogging ingredients. Because we believe there are too many variables to consider when making such a statement and the term non-comedogenic is not an FDA approved claim, we do not use it to describe our products.

Hello! Although EGF Cream utilizes ingredients that can assist with overall clarity, we recommend our Vitamin C Essence for targeting dark spots. Vitamin C Essence is a very lightweight, fluid serum that uses stable, 8% magnesium ascorbyl phosphate to brighten dark spots. For best results, we recommend applying it directly to areas of concern, on freshly-cleansed skin, prior to any other skin care products; including toners, serums or moisturizers. This application technique ensures maximum absorption and benefits. To preserve your progress, we strongly encourage using our Brightening Sunscreen because it not only uses sun protection factor to avoid more dark spots, but integrates a host of brightening ingredients to tackle existing dark spots. Can I use this as a face cream during the day or is it strictly meant to used as a night cream?

Hello. Interestingly, we speak to customers who really enjoy using EGF Cream during the day and have said it works well under makeup! Although our moisturizers are versatile and can be used day and/or night, our EGF Cream uses a number of high-performance ingredients that we believe work best in the evening, during skin's natural revitalization. Should you choose to use EGF Cream during the day, we strongly recommend protecting the benefits you achieve by applying a daily sunscreen like our Brightening Sunscreen. Enjoy the product and the beauty you impart!

Hello. We're hesitant to recommend a product while not fully understanding the nature of a CPAP mask and suggest speaking to the physician (who prescribed its' use) for product recommendations. Perhaps you'd have better success using a hydrating serum rather than a cream.
