Rated 1 out of 5 by from Something has changed I use to use this product a while back, and loved it! Traveled nicely and was a great light wash in the morning to start the day ! I saw the netting cloth and decided to give it a go! the netting was pretty amazing, the wash was light and gentle, but the next day... Broke out in little white bumps. I stopped, and then tried it without the netting . Application was smooth and it suds up nicely and I only used a bit of the powder. I broke out again. Sorry to say something has changed and I will not be able to use this product. I should have tried a sample first, but having used it in the past, didn't think I needed to. Disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from if it ain't broke, don't fix it it used to be called "washing powder." i had several in each bathroom--in showers and by the sink. my beau and i both used it as we are each chemically sensitive and highly sensitive to fragrance (synthetic, botanical, essential oils). "washing powder" came in a no frills white bottle, lathered nicely but provided a gentle exfoliation. it had not a whiff of fragrance and we used it every single time we showered. now it has been reformulated and repackaged with added scent. we have 1 1-2 bottles of the original left. i reached out for a bottle in the shower today to find none... i can only wish fervently that the powers that be do not decide to do the same to "cleansing foam" and "face wash." guess i will have to d.i.y. my own version now!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Don't count it out. I have sensitive skin, so I have to watch what I use. I was trepidatious at first about this one. I'd gotten a sample of it with an order due to rave reviews about it. It was a "Why not?" moment. I was pleasantly surprised it lived up to the reviews. It is economical, you don't need much powder, it lathers into a rich foam and covers really well. It even softens my hands while cleaning my face. That's pretty neat! My biggest problem, I can't decide if I love the powdered face wash over the olive bar or not... I alternate which one I use every so often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So smooth ... I confess I go on and off DHC products, not because I don't love them but they're pricey for me. I received my samples in the catalog the other day and last night used the washing powder and the Olive Oil Lotion. I'm not sure which product achieved the result, or whether it was both, but this morning my skin felt like a baby's (and I'm 72!!!). I preferred this wash powder to the original. I still have a bottle of that because I mostly use it to travel. But this is better, seemed to foam more. And what could be more convenient and easy than a powder??? Love this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor reformulation The old formula was a great cleanser, this new formulation is not an effective cleanser. When I wipe a white towel over my face to dry it there is still makeup residue on my skin. The original formula left the skin completely cleansed. My facials has also noticed more clogged pores since DHC introduced this new ineffective version.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The impersonator I really wanted to get the regular pore face wash but I decided to get this because it's cheaper. The face wash is way to expensive, as with alot of the products. This product is ok, not great. You really need to use alot of powder to get a good wash. The bottle is really small in my opinion as well. I know the regular face wash works amazing and lathers incredibly well. But, again is way to expensive. I am a former employee of dhc and do respect the company. They do make good products, this one is just not at the top of the list.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My all-time favorite DHC product! I LOVE this soap! First, unlike soooo many other soaps, it leaves absolutely *no* residue. Nothing but perfectly clean skin. Maybe I'm just a purist, but if I want to moisturize my skin I'll use a moisturizer, not a soap. Second, the enzymes in this stuff exfoliate without using abrasives or acids, both of which can be harsh and damaging. Finally, it's so easy to use! A little goes a looong way. And it's perfect for traveling, because you can take only as much as you need for a couple of days or a week. I have a small generic lipstick-size travel bottle that I can refill as needed, and holds more than enough for a couple of weeks. No fussing with bars of soap (and those ridiculous travel soap-trays that won't stay shut), or liquid soaps that leak in your suitcase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Travel friendly I've used Washing Powder for years. It's super economical and I love the plastic bottle which makes it great for traveling. I use it every night after removing my makeup with Mild Touch Cleansing Oil; then I use it again in the morning. I have combination skin but my face never feels tight- just clean, and I love that feeling. Of course I follow up with a DHC toner & moisturizer to complete the routine. I've used Washing Powder after oilier make-up removers too, and the suds always work well on removing any residue.
