Rated 1 out of 5 by from Had an off smell I tried a sample of this product received directly from the company. I was intrigued by the pearly sheen and liked the idea of no microbeads. Initially it had no obvious smell, but as I put it to my face, I smelled what can only be described as a faint odor of vomit. I thought it was my imagination and used it as directed, but the smell would not rinse off. I found the exfoliating properties to be on par with drugstore products I have used. Nothing special. The smell was so unpleasant to me, I showered afterward and used a diferent company's facial wash to remove it from my face and hands. Maybe my sample had gone bad, but I don't plan to try it again to find out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect pick me up for tired, stressed skin!!!!! I tried this in a sample with my first DHC purchase, and I must say, I was instantly hooked from the first try!! I use make up every day, I am always on the run, etc. and that in a nutshell can stress or tire my skin out. This product in my opinion is a must have as part of a regular skin regimen! Over time, things we cannot see in our skin build up such as dead skin cells, dirt which cannot be reached by daily washing, etc. An exfoliant helps remove those things that can hurt our skin, and rejuvenate-wake up new cells so our skin is refreshed, repaired, and overall rebalanced!! It really does a great job, and doesn't hurt sensitive skin. I definitely recommend this product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Toxic chemicals I tried and absolutely loved how my skin feels after using this, but then, dun-dun-dun, I looked at the ingredients. Not one to easily shy away from bad-sounding chemicals (for instance potassium hydroxide is like lye, which sounds bad, but my guess it's added for pH balance and not a concern at all, and dipotassium glycyrrhizate is saponified licorice rhizomes, also fine), but I really don't like the idea of regularly consuming Chlorhexidine, a chlorinated antibiotic, or even worse, Phenoxyethanol which contains benzene, both of which are toxic chemicals. I suppose you need to add something to prolong shelf-life and keep the scrub from going bad, but not at the expense of my health. I'd much rather have a shorter 'must use by' date.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clean power I use this scrub 3 times per week to exfoliate and brighten my skin on face, neck and decolatage. It is powerful, yet leaves skin soft as a baby's butt. I've been using this product for over a decade and that's how many years younger I look for it. No fine lines, no creases or crows feet. You can feel your skin tightening and drawing the pores closed yet skin does not get dry nor flakey. No harsh side effects just youthful glowing renewed skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Exfoliator I really like my skin to feel clean. This product helps exfoliate and remove the dead skin. Since using it, I find that it has even out my skin tone too. I love the little pieces in it that gets into the pores and really cleans them out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best I use this product in the shower before cleansing to remove all my dry skin cells. It leaves my skin so smooth and soft and it doesn't dry it.Once a week I scrub it in very throughly to slough off most of my dead cells, and the rest of the week just lightly to remove any new dead cells and also not to dry out my skin, eventhough I don't ever feel it dry. Of course I use my CoQ10 skin products afterwards and my skin feels and looks great. I'm 82 and no one believes me, so I guess my skin must look great after removing those cells that make one look old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scrub a dub dub! I used to use a Vichy scrub but the one I liked most was apparently discontinued... I tried this one from DHC and was pleasantly surprised - it was as good or better than the one I liked so much! This one cleanses my combination skin and eliminates all imperfections. My skin has improved tremendously since I have been using this every day. It really sloughs off the dead skin and helps replenish it quickly with soft, supple skin. I love it and I hope you see the same great results I have experienced! This is a wonderful product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product! I like this product. I use it twice weekly in the shower on face, elbows and feet. (Chiropractor tells me I have really soft feet!!!) Rinses quickly and doesn't add extra time to my AM dressing routine. I used St Ives Apricot scrub for a while, but I find the DHC scrub to be more gentle. I like that it is made from apricot pits instead of microbeads. Did a trial with Kate Somerville Gentle scrub...liked it, but don't like the microbeads. My one con is the size of the tube. It's nice that it lasts a long time, but I find that, because I use it in the shower, mold grows in the cap by the time I've finished the tube. Would prefer a smaller quantity. A trial-travel size would be nice, too. In fact, a 2 oz size would be perfect for travel and for my 2-x-week purposes.
