Terrible, avoid using if you have any facial hairIncredibly disappointed in this product AND in DHC. I got this free with a large order, and decided today to use it. There are no instructions on the bottle itself, so I went to the website to see how to use it. Under the HOW TO USE section it says this: After cleansing, apply 2‐3 pumps of gel to damp or dry face, avoiding the eye and lip areas. Gently massage with fingertips in a circular motion until small balls of dirt and dead cells form. Rinse off thoroughly with lukewarm water. For best results, use 1-2 times per week.
I did exactly what they said, and the gel clumped into the small, fine facial hairs I have on my cheeks and jaw. And I can't get them off. I have scrubbed and scrubbed, used soap, used hot and cold water, and they won't come loose. My face is raw. There is nothing on the website about what to do if this happens, so I contacted chat. They said that they are sorry I didn't read the fine print on the box that said to avoid the hairline. And then they said keep washing it and it will come out. So raw face, while balls of gel in my facial hair, and DHC says, just keep scrubbing. This is the first time I have been disappointed in a product AND service from DHC. REALLY disappointed.

Nope--tossing it outI agree with the many reviewers who have commented that it's very difficult and requires lots of scrubbing to remove from fine facial hairs. Maybe it works fine for people who shave, but for the rest of us, it's pointless. Unless a person has no facial hair, I don't see that this product is worth it. With so many bad reviews based on this factor alone, dating back several years, DHC should somehow refine the product so that it is much easier to remove. I loved the mineral mask--bring it back, please!

Great for skin renewalI received a sample and was expecting a face mask that you let dry and peel off. This was a great surprise when I put it on my face and it immediately turned the dry and dead skin cells to little sand or pebble type skin slough. After rinsing with water, my skin felt smooth and moisturized. I used to use Miracle Whip to achieve the sloughing effect as I never found a substitute till now (sounds silly I know) I'm going to buy a bottle and use it on my arms and torso. I do recommend avoiding hair and I fortunately had de-fuzzed my face with a personal trimmer prior to use, because the product makes the dead skin ball up in little balls and they can get stuck in hairs. You don't realize how much dead old stuff is just clinging to your skin until you experience this exfoliation. I use paper towels to collect the yuck, but it's probably ok to just wash it down the drain.
I don't understand why you rinse off the Moisture-Rich Clarifying Peeling Gel from your face but doesn't rinse off from facial hair. It is either water soluable or not. I am a bit confused. I am inclined to think most women have some facial hair.

While considering the composition, texture, and consistency of skin is quite different than hair, the product will adhere to skin differently than hair. Additionally, the hair most susceptible to sticking is vellus hair, or "peach fuzz." The product is made to attract dead skin cells and build up on the surface of the skin. Part of how it works is dependent on its "tacky" consistency. The more you massage the product, the more it moves across the skin, attracting buildup and rolling into tiny particles. The tackiness lessens; however, anything you capture is rolled into the particles. Unlike dead skin cells and surface buildup, vellus hair is attached, and instead of repelling the product, it becomes increasingly entangled and more difficult to remove. Upon rinsing, the particles of dead skin cells mixed with the product are much easier to rinse off than what's sticking to vellus hair. It's not really about the water solubility of the product, but instead its consistency.

I loved the gel rolling the dead skin off my face, but then the little balls got caught in my facial hairs! I tried everything I could think of the get them off but only shaving my face worked. Not a good option for me. Help!
