Olive Virgin Oil Essential Cream is one of our richest creams and can be used day and/or night. While our moisturizers are suitable under makeup, much will depend on your preference and skin type. Please remember that our facial moisturizers do not have an integrated sun protection factor, making sunscreen application a separate step, and applied over the moisturizer.

Is this product more moisturizing than the extra nightime moisture?

Hello.
While we feel that Extra Nighttime Moisture and Olive Virgin Oil Essential Cream are equally moisturizing, we recommend adding a hydrating serum to boost moisture. Nearly 64% of your skin contains water, and while moisturizers greatly benefit the outer part of the skin and moisten it, they do not deliver hydration (referring to skin's water content) as effectively as a fluid, hydration-rich serum will. Although our liquid lotions benefit the skin by providing effective hydration, we think a serum will add even more. Our Olive Virgin Oil Crystal Skin Essence is an excellent choice. It imparts hydration that will increase dewiness and allow moisturizers (applied over it) to absorb more effectively. We hope this suggestion proves to be useful we thank you for choosing DHC. Does dhc essence cream contain royal jelly from the bees wax?

Hello!
Beeswax in Olive Virgin Oil Essential Cream is used to strengthen skin's natural barrier by attracting and binding water to the skin. It's not used as a source of royal jelly extract.
Although we use royal jelly extract in some of our products, it's not an ingredient in Olive Virgin Oil Essential Cream. Royal jelly extract is a highly nutritive substance secreted by worker bees to feed the queen bee and is collected from the honeycomb.
