Love the product.Used the sample I received and could not believe how smooth my skin felt after using once. So, ordered Skin Refresh and very happy with it. It is not too harsh, so does not leave your skin red or over exfoliated. Just leaves skin feeling smooth. I put on EGF cream after use and have seen a difference in my skin. I would recommend Skin Refresh to anyone for exfoliating gently. (And also EGF cream) I am ordering my 2nd bottle.

It is not necessary to use a cotton pad to apply Skin Refresh. You can dispense a small amount into the palm of your hands and apply it directly to the skin; however, you may need to apply it in sections as the product absorbs quickly.

While Skin Refresh is gentle enough to be used every day, we do not recommend using it more than once daily. For best results, use Skin Refresh at night after a double cleanse before applying any other products, including liquid lotions, serums, moisturizers, etc.

If I use Skin Refresh at night is it ok to wash with Salacytic Acne Washin the morning?

Hello.
Although generally speaking and for the majority of skin types, Skin Refresh is gentle enough for daily use, we do not recommend using it within 24 hours of beta-hydroxy Salicylic Acne Wash. Exfoliating ingredients should be used with care and their frequency of use monitored closely. Scrubs, products with beta hydroxy acids (salicylic acid) and alpha hydroxy acid (lactic acid in Skin Refresh) encourage the skin's natural cell turnover and in turn can be sensitizing if overused. Providing downtime between exfoliating ingredient applications is important because it allows the skin an opportunity to rejuvenate naturally. While skin types vary greatly, it's difficult to recommend specific time intervals between applications; however, using two exfoliating products on the same day increases the risk of irritation, redness, and dehydration. When you choose to apply Skin Refresh at night, consider waiting until the following evening to use Salicylic Acne Wash. Is it necessary to use a lotion if your nighttime skin routine includes skin refresh , collagen supreme and moisturizer ?
I am purchasing skin renew and super collagen . Is it recommended to only use skin renew once daily and in the evening ?

Even the most gentle cleansing routine leaves skin imbalanced because, while we are concisely working to remove dirt, dead skin cells, excess oil, etc., we are also removing hydration and oils that are actually good for the skin. It's unavoidable; however, our lotions serve to help replenish what's lost during cleansing by providing calming, intense hydration, and other beneficial "goodies." Additionally, they greatly assist in drenching the skin with hydration that a moisturizer alone cannot.
Serums and essences serve to target multiple concerns by providing a concentrated amount of key ingredients. Our Super Collagen Supreme is rich in skin-strengthening dipeptide-8, brightening and age-defying vitamin C, etc. It's used to enhance your skincare routine, but does not take the place of a daily lotion.
Skin Refresh is a gentle, daily exfoliating product that uses a modest amount of lactic acid to enhance skin's natural cell turnover and promote a more even skin tone. It can be used daily and is applied to dry skin, immediately after cleansing, but before lotions, serums, etc.
A nightly routine would consist of a double cleanse, followed by an application of Skin Refresh, your choice of DHC Lotion, Super Collagen Supreme and lastly, your choice of DHC moisturizer.

Can you use retinol after this ?

Hello.
Although Skin Refresh is rather gentle, and normally suitable for daily application; we strongly recommend using either retinol OR Skin Refresh, but never both at the same time. Please remember that both products encourage the skin's natural cell turnover, and if accelerated too quickly, can increase the possibility of irritation and redness.

Can you explain what the "placental protein" ingredient is in this product--where does it come from and how is it processed?

Our placental protein is porcine (pig)-derived and a rich source of nutrients, amino acids, and proteins that condition and soften skin.
Although we use animal derived ingredients in some of our products, there’s no cruelty involved in extracting these ingredients; they’re natural by-products that would otherwise be discarded during the processing of these sources. The ingredients are safe to use in cosmetics, and we’re confident they provide tremendous benefits for your skin.

Can you use skin refresh with the super collagen serum at night?

Actually, the two will work very nicely together. By applying Skin Refresher first (keeping in mind it's applied directly to cleansed skin BEFORE ANY other products, including toning lotions), you're clearing a prefect pathway for Super Collagen Supreme to hydrate and absorb. Remember; you'll normally layer products from "lighter" to "heavier" and always water-based products before oil-based ones.

Can the Vitamin C Essence be used after the Skin Refresh and before moisturizer?

Skin Refresh and Vitamin C Essence are each applied to freshly cleansed skin, before toners and moisturizers. To ensure you're getting the maximum benefit from each of them, we recommend using one during the day and one at night, but not at the same time. Please remember that Skin Refresh has added vitamin C to enhance brightening. Though it's not the same concentration as what's in Vitamin C Essence, the two products compliment each other nicely. We suggest applying Vitamin C Essence in the morning and Skin Refresh at night. To protect your results and prevent future dark spots, don't forget to use your Brightening Sunscreen daily!
