Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best So shocked to find out this product was discontinued. The replacement for this is not all natural so I will not pursue it. I am strongly against additives and preservatives. After years of using Extra Concentrate, my skin had been so wonderful and would like thank you DHC staff for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product works, don't discontinue. This is a great product and works. What does not work is current way to apply it. Change container to a roll on dispenser and you will have a best seller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too Sad To See It Go... This is a truly remarkable invention, a miracle maker. I'm too sad to see this discontinuing... Although in watery liquid, it has been the most effective wrinkle care product I've ever encountered. Super Collagen unfortunately couldn't deliver as this baby did. There is no such replacement in this world. Hopefully it'll come back someday.

Is this product being discontinued? That is what your current email insinuates.

Asked by: Englishell
Hello! We are sorry to confirm that yes, Extra Concentrate is being discontinued, as we're unable to obtain key ingredients needed to make the product. Though Super Collagen Supreme isn't exactly the same as Extra Concentrate, it's a micronized collagen serum that imparts intense hydration and is enhanced with a dash of vitamin C for brightening and clarity.

Can you explain the difference between the Extra Concentrate (hydrolyzed collagen) and the Super Collagen Supreme (micronized collagen)? Why would one use one vs the other?

Asked by: Krista B
Hello. The collagen used in Extra Concentrate is animal derived and has a larger molecular size than what's used in Super Collagen Supreme. This doesn't make one product better than the other, only different. Regardless of the molecular size of the ingredient, topical collagen provides an intense amount of hydration to the skin; and because collagen is made of peptides, there's a strengthening benefit as well. Extra Concentrate also features oat kernel extract, which offers soothing and firming benefits. Super Collagen Supreme uses our patented Super Collagen, which is derived from a blend of botanical and synthetic sources. Because it's micronized, it absorbs more effectively than animal-derived collagen. Super Collagen Supreme also uses vitamin C for clarity and a smidge of organic olive oil for age-defying and moisture benefits. It's our opinion that both products are fabulous and recommend choosing the product that aligns with your preferences. Thank you for choosing DHC and have a beautiful day!

I just received my extra concentrate, wanting to plan when to use it. Reading the reviews when do most folks use this if they want to do so just once a day or occasionally, in the morning or evening?

Asked by: Maura
Hello! It's nearly impossible to overuse Extra Concentrate! Its versatility allows you to use it as much or little as you choose. That being said, consistent application means better results. It can be applied directly to areas of concern or over the entire complexion. It can be used day and/or night. With every application, you increase hydration to ease the aridness responsible for exaggerating the appearance of fine lines. Star ingredient hydrolyzed collagen is made of varying peptides, so hello to strengthening benefits too!

How long would one ampoule of 0.2 fl.oz last under average usage?

Asked by: cyndyh
Hello! Because Extra Concentrate can be used either directly on areas of concern or over the entire complexion, usage will vary. We typically advise that an ampule of product will last ten days to two weeks. For best results, we recommend refrigerating ampules upon opening. Enjoy! You've made an excellent choice :) ~Your friends at DHC
