Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly effective product I have been using this set for almost a year and and it has kept my skin radiant and smooth. It has diminished the dark spots on my cheeks caused by a strong Korean skincare product. I will keep using Hatomugi skin conditioning set since I don't wear makeup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the Hatomugi Skin Conditioning set. I'm over 65 y.o.; I examine my skin closely almost every day. I had noticed my pores had been getting larger all over my face, especially on my nose. With the first use of the Hatomugi my pores were visibly reduced and the blackheads were fading away and they now have shrunk back down. I'm in love with this set!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best my skin has every been! As a nearly 18 year old ballet dancer my skin was previously unpredictable. I wear makeup while I train and perform, which regularly contributed to breakouts and uneven skin. I noticed a change immediately when I started to use these products. It is not only cost effective, a little goes a long way, but my skin has never looked so beautiful. It is easy to use, and as often as I wash my face (2-3x/day) I have only hit the halfway point on the containers! This will be a product set I will continue to use and can afford.

Does the cleanser remove makeup or should I get something in addition to this set if I want to get my makeup off?

Asked by: geegee
Hello. Did you know that the majority of ingredients used in makeup give it long wear and are water resistant? Now imagine yourself at the end of the day, preparing to remove your makeup and begin by wetting your face. You proceed to use a cleanser that lathers. Did you know that ingredients that help cleansers lather and work to remove dirt and buildup are dependent on making contact with the skin? When you consider these facts, it makes sense that wetting your face and using a lathering product to remove makeup (that has water resistance), means you are not removing it effectively. In contrast, an oil-based cleanser melds into makeup and breaks it down, allowing easy and thorough removal. This is why we strongly recommend using one of our oil-based cleansers to remove makeup. Not only are they much more effective, but they are gentler too. Just apply to dry skin, massage over complexion to break down makeup, and rinse off with water. Proceed by using a lathering cleanser because, unlike an oil-based cleanser, a lathering cleanser will create a sort of "friction' across the surface of the skin, effectively suspending finer dirt and build-up away from the skin. We suggest our Deep Cleansing Oil as it's good for all skin types and ages. :) Thank you for choosing DHC and have a beautiful day!

What is the difference between this product and Pore Face Wash set?

Asked by: Lina
Hello! Excellent question! Though we describe the Pore and Hatomugi Collections as being suitable for blemish-prone skin types, their ingredients and benefits differ. The Pore Collection uses key ingredients to specifically target pore refining. For some blemish-prone skin types, excess oil and clogged pores contribute to the development of blemishes. Our Pore products use citrus-derived ingredients to help control unwanted oil and refine pores, while providing moisture and brightening. The Hatomugi products focus on the need for gentle, effective cleansing and hydration to maintain problematic skin. Because increased irritation can also aggravate blemish-prone skin, using products that soothe and encourage balance can often times be the simplest approach to maintaining problematic skin. We hope the information provided proves to be useful, and if you have additional product inquiries, please feel free to reach out again. We can also be contacted by phone at 1-800-342-2273 and email at beauty@dhccare.com. Thank you for choosing DHC for your skincare needs and have a beautiful day!

My skin was always oily, but as I age (now 69), it's gradually becoming more normal. It is, however, still quite blemish-prone, and I'd like to try these products. How suitable would the Hatomugi Milk be for me? Not rich enough?

Asked by: Ann R-B
Hello! Chocked full of calming ingredients and ideal for skin types who experience occasional blemishes, the Hatomugi products are an excellent choice for you. Yes, the moisturizing Hatomugi Milk is fairly lightweight; however, you may prefer using it for daytime moisture and a richer moisturizer at night (depending on your preferences and skin's need for moisture).
