The skin really soaks it up deeply in preparation for the cream. Twice per day. Noon and midnight. My schedule is weird. I don't wear makeup, but if I'm going out, even for a walk, I always use Skin Velvet on face and neck. I would consider it a transparent mattifier. Makes my skin look clear and even with no fuss.
