Perfect before makeupI love how silky this makes my skin feel before applying makeup. I’m over 50 and it’s true the makeup settles into the fine lines and this makes that concern disappear!

VSCI’ve been using Velvet Skin Coat for years. I’ve tried so many other primers, but nothing compares. Can’t put my makeup on without it. It’s exactly what it’s called; a velvet skin coat.
Should sunscreen be applied before or after Velvet Skin Coat?
Asked by: Catebarbo
While Velvet Skin Coat is a makeup primer used to improve the appearance of skin and create a base for flawless makeup application, it is always applied after skincare products like sunscreen.

how much of the velvet skin care do i use on my face daily
Asked by: Jan the chef
Please remember that while Velvet Skin Coat feels amazing and blurs imperfections, it is not a staple skincare product and does not have to be used daily. Velvet Skin Coat is a makeup primer and skin enhancer. On days you choose to use it, we suggest just a tiny amount. A peas-size dollop will easily cover the entire T-Zone, including the forehead and cheeks.

Is DHC Velvet Skin Coat non-comedogenic? I am worried about breakouts and clogged pores.
Asked by: Deckard926
Hello. At DHC, we strive to be transparent and realistic regarding product claims, while taking into consideration that skin types, allergies, and tolerance to ingredients differ greatly amongst individuals. "Non-comedogenic" is an industry catch-phrase referring to a product that's free of perceived pore-clogging ingredients. Because we believe there are too many variables to consider when making such a statement and the term non-comedogenic is not an FDA approved claim, we do not use it to describe our products.

What's the difference between Velvet Skin Coat and Quick Film Smoother?
Asked by: Janet59
Hello.
Velvet Skin Coat is a primer that provides a velvety finish to skin and helps blur imperfections. It can be used to create a flawless canvas for makeup application or worn alone to simply improve the appearance of uneven skin and large pores. Although added olive virgin oil contributes to its unique feel, it is not considered a "skincare" product or moisturizer, but a true makeup item.
Quick Film Smoother is a silky gel that instantly softens the appearance of fine lines, but also uses beneficial ingredients to hydrate, strengthen and soften. Because it benefits the skin, Quick Film Smoother is considered a "booster", not just a makeup item.
The products can be used in tandem with Quick Film Smoother applied first and Velvet Skin Coat last.
