Ingredients

Is there an expiration date on the Antiox C facial moisturizer? I found a tube in my makeup drawer and don’t see a date on tube.

It started to get difficult to squeeze out a drop a few weeks ago. I can’t squeeze anything out now. I can hear the formula slosh around inside the tube. I poked a sterilized needle in the opening but still nothing comes out.

We're sorry to hear you're having difficulty dispensing the product. It's unfortunate that when vitamin C is exposed to air, it tends to crystalize and can clog the opening of the dispenser, which has a narrow opening to prevent vitamin C from losing its efficacy. It's for this reason we recommend storing the product either on its side or with the lid right-side up.

Vitamin C is a fantastic addition to a skin care routine because it's a powerful antioxidant that helps to safeguard skin from the damaging effects of free radicals. We use 8% magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (vitamin C) in our Vitamin C Essence to promote clarity and contribute anti-oxidant benefits. For best results, please be sure to apply after cleansing, but before toners, serums or moisturizers. To ensure the progress you make is protected, be sure to apply daily sunscreen. We recommend our Brightening Sunscreen, which uses a blend of brightening ingredients to address previous sun damage, while a 30 sun protection factor prevents more. Do I need to use this product with a sunscreen?

We strongly suggest applying a daily sunscreen, as sun exposure contributes to dark spots and will impede any progress you're making in brightening them. We recommend considering our Brightening Sunscreen as it not only uses gentle, mineral-based sun protection ingredients, but also integrates brightening vitamin C and alpha arbutin to improve existing dark spots. Can the Vitamin C Essence be used in the eye area?

Although we're comfortable saying our Vitamin C Essence is gentle enough to be used on the entire complexion, we're hesitant to advise using it around the immediate eye area (inside the orbital bone),as it was not formulated to be used as an "eye care" product.
